The Daily Construction Report at a Glance

This article shows you how to efficiently create daily construction reports via the calendar overview, document all relevant content and images, and then review, approve, and export the report as a PDF.

Before creating your first daily construction report, it is recommended to review and adjust the settings once. There you define which report sections should be included in the daily construction report, define roles, companies, or other project-specific details. This ensures that the daily construction report exactly matches the requirements of your project and can be filled out efficiently later.

For a detailed explanation of this customization, we recommend reading the separate article on configuring the daily construction report beforehand. It describes step by step which settings are available and how they affect the report.

After this one-time setup, you can record reports quickly and consistently.

Calendar overview & symbols

The daily construction report starts with the calendar overview. Here you see all days of the month at a glance, including already entered working hours and colored symbols that give you information about the status of each day.

Small colored icons can appear in the calendar days. A tooltip shows you the exact meaning. Typical examples are:

  • Green checkmark → The daily construction report has been approved.

  • Cloud / weather icon → There were notable weather events on that day.

  • Exclamation mark → A special incident was documented.

  • Further symbols indicate e.g. disturbances, safety notices, or supplementary information.
