Configuring the Daily Construction Report

This article explains how to centrally configure the daily construction report in the project settings to define structure, content, and rules project-wide.

Before daily construction reports are created in the project, you can and should configure the daily construction report centrally once. In the project settings you define how the report is structured, which sections are included, and which rules apply e.g. for weather, working hours, or processes.

This configuration forms the basis for all future daily construction reports in the project and ensures consistent, project-specific documentation.

Where do I find the settings?

The configuration is found under:

Settings → Project → Daily construction report

All relevant options are presented clearly in individual sections here.

General settings

In the upper section you define basic framework conditions for the daily construction report:

  • Report number

Define from which date the sequential numbering of daily construction reports begins. The numbering is continued automatically.

  • Time for gallery images

Determines at what time images from the camera gallery are proposed by default for the daily construction report.

  • Report responsible person

Select a default person who is automatically set as responsible in the report (can be adjusted in the individual report).

Activating or deactivating report sections

In the Report sections area you decide which content appears in the daily construction report.

  • Active sections are displayed in the daily construction report

  • Inactive sections are completely hidden

Typical sections are e.g.:

  • Working hours

  • Weather

  • Workforce

  • Processes

  • Materials

  • Equipment use

  • Gallery

  • Special incidents

Sections can be toggled between Active and Inactive with a click. This allows you to tailor the daily construction report exactly to the requirements of your project.

Weather & bad weather warnings

In the weather section you configure how weather data is displayed in the daily construction report:

  • Time period for weather data & warnings

Defines which daily time period weather information is taken into account for (e.g. working hours).

  • Bad weather warnings

Set thresholds from when a day is marked as notable, e.g.:

    • Air temperature (cold/warm)

    • Precipitation (mm, mm/h, duration)

    • Wind

When defined limits are exceeded, corresponding notices and symbols appear in the calendar and in the daily construction report.

Occupational safety

Here you can store a responsible person for occupational safety. This person is automatically suggested in the daily construction report and ensures clear responsibilities in the documentation.

Working hours & processes

In the Working hours section you define how working hours are determined:

  • Intelligent tracking by oculai

oculai automatically determines working hours based on the recorded activities.

  • Application of the configured project working hours

Fixed, previously defined working hours are used.

Additionally, you can control how working hours are linked to processes:

  • Automatically adopt working hours as start and end time for new processes

  • Display start and end times for process entries

These settings ensure consistent time information and reduce manual effort when filling out the daily construction report.

Saving changes

All adjustments only take effect once you confirm them via "Save".

The configuration then applies to all newly created daily construction reports in the project.
