What is the project database?
The project database is a central export and analysis tool that allows you to retrieve all project data from your organization across projects.
Unlike evaluations within individual projects, it enables:
the simultaneous export of multiple projects
a uniform data structure
a high level of detail down to component and productivity rate level
use of the data in Excel for your own analyses, comparisons, and reports
The export is ideally suited to:
build an internal project database
compare project and performance indicators
conduct regular check-ins (e.g. monthly or after each level)
Selecting projects
In the upper area of the project database, you select the projects to be exported. You can search for projects specifically or select multiple projects at once. Even large project portfolios can thus be bundled into a single export.
Setting the level of detail
The level-of-detail slider determines at which level the data is exported. The export can range from a coarse building or floor/level view to a very detailed component and productivity rate level.
The higher the chosen level of detail, the more granular and extensive the resulting Excel file.
Configuring the export
In the configuration area, you define which information should be included in the export. The selection is made via thematically grouped options, for example for general project information, time and duration metrics, working hours, or productivity rates.
All labels and metrics follow oculai standards. Detailed explanations can be found in the oculai glossary. Additionally, info icons ⓘ are displayed for many fields. When you hover over them, a tooltip with a brief explanation of the respective metric and its calculation logic appears.
Export templates
To make the export as efficient as possible, you can use export templates. A template saves the chosen level of detail and the selected fields and can be used again at any time.
The templates are valid organization-wide and are available to all authorized users in your organization. This allows recurring exports to be standardized, for example for controlling, management reports, or regular project reviews.
Productivity rates – Prerequisites
Productivity rates are only included in the export if the quantity has previously been maintained in the productivity rates under Analysis. Without this input, corresponding metrics cannot be calculated and exported.
Export & Further use
The project database export is delivered as an Excel file (.xlsx). All selected projects are combined in a structured table and can be used directly for your own analyses, comparisons, or building an internal data foundation.
The project database is therefore the right tool when you want to use oculai data across projects, in a standardized manner, and outside the platform.
